Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Center for Muskegon Community College

 

The first phase of this project is a 19,000 s.f.  building addition. This addition is LEED certified. BMA Architects and Kingscott Associates are currently completing construction drawings. The ground breaking is expected to be in Summer 2014 with full occupancy by mid 2015.

Health Science Center

Baker College of Muskegon, MI

 

 

The Health Science Center for the Baker College of Muskegon is a 2-story, 35,000-square-foot building located on the southern end of the campus, west of the library. A connecting corridor will connect it with the college's main building.

 

The HSC is the new home for the following programs that have relocated into the new space; occupational therapy assistant, physical therapy assistant, massage therapy, medical assistant, nursing, radiation technology, surgical technology and pharmacy technician programs.


 
First United Credit Union

The First United Federal Credit Union was a complete remodel of the interior public space. The design focused on creating an inviting lobby area with an innovative design for efficient teller stations and business areas. The remodel included the lobby, waiting areas, banking areas, conference room, and restrooms.


 
Proposed Office Remodel

This project is still in schematic design and programming.  The existing building is currently being used for storage and will be remodeled for an open office and product gallery.


 
Maranatha Bible Camp

Proposed three story addition and remodel for local bible camp. This proposed addition includes; a new assembly space that houses approximately 390 seats, gathering spaces, covered walkway connections to adjacent buildings, and new apartments on the second and third floors.


 
Egelston Township Fire Station

Muskegon, MI

 

 

The Egelston Township Fire Station is a new construction 13,400 square foot station.  The new building has new office areas, training room, support spaces, apparatus bay and associated bays for fire department vehicles. This project was completed in two phases. Phase 1 was the construction of a new facility immediately adjacent to existing facilities while maintaining current operating conditions of existing Fire Station. Phase 2 consisted of the demolition of existing facilities and construction of additional parking for the new facility.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trinity Lutheran Church

New Era, MI

 

 

 

Trinity Lutheran Church in New Era, Michigan has been in need of a new sanctuary for the past ten years. Throughout the design and construction documents, BMA Architects met with the building committee and church members to keep continuous communication of the church’s needs and wishes. In designing the exterior, we took inspiration from the original church’s bell tower. 

 

 

Earth's Edge

Grand Haven, MI

Earth’s Edge is an outdoor gear retail store that was in dire need of expansion. For their expansion,  Earth’s Edge relocated their store to 705 Beacon Blvd. in Grand Haven, MI.

Culinary Institute of Michigan

Baker College of Muskegon, MI

In the fall of 2009, Baker College of Muskegon moved its culinary arts school to downtown Muskegon into this new $11 million building. This three-story facility is located on the south corner of Third and Western and acts as combination restaurant and classroom.

The building is 39,000-square-foot and includes a casual fine dining restaurant with instructional lab called Courses;  a pastry and coffee shop called The Sweet Spot; a demonstration room; and five additional labs for pastries, chocolate, sugar design, and three hot food labs.

Welcome Center

Baker College of Muskegon, MI

This 18,000 square foot, two-story addition was completed in 2010. The addition offers new administrative offices, six new computer labs, a board room, additional classrooms and a large atrium/ lobby to greet perspective students. The addition not only focused on creating business space for Baker College, but started a design theme to unify future expansions to the Muskegon campus.
